What is flavor?
Flavor is the sensation caused by and those properties of any substances taken to the mouth which stimulates one or both of the senses of taste and smell and/or also the pain, tactile and temperature receptors in the mouth.

Why use flavor?
  • to provide character of a spesific food
  • compensate for the loss of flavor during processing
  • mask bad tasting ingredients
  • supplement, enhance, or modify the original taste or aroma of a food
  • replace an ingredients
